In ChatGPT, the list of tools and their inputs stays as it was on October 9, 2026. Entries marked “Not in ChatGPT” work in every other AI app.

October 2026

  1. New

    LinkedIn limits guide

New guide on LinkedIn's limits for invitations, messages, InMail, searches and posts, with a character counter for notes, messages and posts.

  2. New

    Company page guide

New guide on posting as a LinkedIn company page from Claude, Claude Code and ChatGPT.

  3. Improved

    Outreach tools comparison

The comparison of LinkMCP with LinkedIn outreach tools now covers four tools in one table, with sources.

  4. Fixed

    Your own profile, fresh

linkedin_get_profile and linkedin_bulk_get_profiles now refresh your own LinkedIn profile after 5 minutes, not after 24 hours, so your recent edits show up.

  5. Improved

Post keys in comments and reactions

linkedin_comment_on_post and linkedin_react_to_post accept lnkd.in short links and the post keys that the read tools return, such as postUrl and activityUrn. Not in ChatGPT.

  6. Improved

    Note limit on connection requests

When an account reaches LinkedIn's limit for connection requests with a note, linkedin_send_connection_request now says to send the request without a note. Not in ChatGPT.

  7. Improved

    Short links in post tools

linkedin_get_post_comments and linkedin_get_post_reactions accept lnkd.in short links to a post. Not in ChatGPT.

  8. Improved

    Clearer connection request refusals

linkedin_send_connection_request now says when a note is too long for the account, and when you must wait before you send this person a new request. Not in ChatGPT.

  9. Improved

    Hints for searches

People and job searches with "Europe" or "European Union" as the location, and company lookups by a name with a description, now get an answer that says what to try next. Not in ChatGPT.

  10. Fixed

    Sales Navigator search URLs

Some Sales Navigator search URLs that LinkedIn refused now work in linkedin_search_sales_navigator, because LinkMCP sends them in a form that LinkedIn accepts.

  11. Improved

    Names in person inputs

A person's name or email address in a field that needs a LinkedIn profile now gets a clear refusal at once, before any lookup. Not in ChatGPT.

  12. New

    Connections of one person

linkedin_search_people has a new connections_of input that searches the connections of one person, when that person shows their connection list. Not in ChatGPT.

  13. Improved

    Older industry names

The industry filter of linkedin_search_people and linkedin_search_sales_navigator also understands LinkedIn's older industry names.

  14. New

    Two workflow guides

New guides on building a LinkedIn lead list with work emails, and on finding prospects by job title and company.

  15. Improved

    Antigravity with an API key

The Gemini guide now shows how to connect Google Antigravity with an API key, and the install page lists the API key setup first.

  16. New

    Candidate search guide

New guide on how to search LinkedIn for candidates with AI, and a rewritten Sales Navigator guide.

  17. Fixed

    Sales Navigator InMail subject

Sales Navigator InMails no longer fail for a missing subject line. Without a subject, LinkMCP uses the first words of the message.

  18. Improved

    ChatGPT setup steps

The ChatGPT guide and the setup steps in the app now use the Plugins menu of ChatGPT (Add custom MCP server).

  19. Fixed

    LinkedIn thread IDs

linkedin_get_conversation_messages, linkedin_send_message and linkedin_mark_conversation_read accept the thread ID from a LinkedIn messaging link as chat_id.

  20. Fixed

    Team invites

A person whose only workspace is their own trial, with no other members and no LinkedIn connection, can now join a team by invite. That trial workspace closes.

  21. Improved

    Refused LinkedIn sign-ins

When LinkedIn does not accept a sign-in, the connect page now says what to do, and you can start a new sign-in.

  22. Improved

    Names in conversations

linkedin_list_conversations names the other person in each conversation, and linkedin_get_conversation_messages names the sender of each message. Not in ChatGPT.

  23. Improved

    Failed calls count toward limits

A call that failed after it may have reached LinkedIn now counts toward the daily limits, and a "too many requests" answer from LinkedIn pauses that action for at least 10 minutes.

  24. Improved

    Comparison guide update

The guide to the best LinkedIn MCP server now compares 14 options, with sources.

  25. Improved

    Email lookup retries

find_email now tries once more after a short outage of its email data source, and says clearly when it still cannot answer.

  26. New

    Install page

A new install page has one-click links, commands and config files for Claude, Cursor, VS Code, Codex, Goose, Zed and more AI apps.

  27. New

    Page for builders

A new page shows builders how to connect their own agent with an API key, with code for the Claude Agent SDK, OpenAI Agents SDK, Vercel AI SDK, LangChain and Google ADK.

  28. Improved

    Weekly limit for connection requests

Connection requests now have a weekly limit for each LinkedIn account. When LinkedIn refuses an invitation, message, comment, reaction or post because of an account limit, LinkMCP pauses that action for at least 10 minutes.

  29. Improved

    Longer waits in Claude

In Claude.ai and Claude Desktop, a read can now wait up to 3 minutes for LinkedIn pacing instead of being refused, because Claude allows longer tool calls.

  30. New

    Job details tool

New tool linkedin_get_job reads one job posting: the full description, the job details and the hiring team, when LinkedIn shows it. Not in ChatGPT.

  31. New

    Job search filters

    linkedin_search_jobs has new filters: work_type, job_type, experience_level, date_posted, easy_apply and under_10_applicants, and a sort_by order. Not in ChatGPT.

  32. Fixed

    Post analytics in every language

linkedin_get_post_analytics now gives numbers for LinkedIn accounts in any language, and for posts that share an article.

  33. Fixed

    More profile URL forms

Profile URLs without "https://" or with a country host, such as uk.linkedin.com, now work in every tool that takes a person.

  34. Improved

    Sales Navigator lead URLs

linkedin_send_connection_request, linkedin_send_message and linkedin_get_shared_connections accept a Sales Navigator lead URL for the person.

  35. Fixed

    Current job

Profile tools now show the open position as the current job, not simply the first entry of the experience list.

  36. New

    Grok support

Grok is now a supported AI app, with its own setup steps in the app and a connect guide.

  37. Improved

    Shorter sign-in from AI apps

Signing in to LinkMCP from an AI app no longer asks for your first name.

  38. Improved

    Open docs

The docs are open to everyone, with no sign-in.

  39. New

    LinkedIn company pages

New tool linkedin_list_company_pages, and an as_page input on linkedin_create_post, linkedin_comment_on_post and linkedin_react_to_post, to act as a LinkedIn company page that you administer.

  40. New

    Setup guides

New setup guides for ChatGPT, OpenAI Codex, Claude Code, Gemini and Cursor, and new guides on posting from Claude and on Sales Navigator.

  41. Improved

    New design

A new design for the website, the app and the docs, with layouts that also work on phones.

  42. Improved

    Longer waits instead of refusals

When a per-minute limit or the gap between LinkedIn actions needs a pause, a tool call now waits up to 35 seconds for reads and 20 seconds for writes, up from 8 seconds. A daily limit is never waited out.

September 2026

  1. New

    Refresh session

Refresh session signs you in to LinkedIn again without a disconnect. Your API keys and connected AI apps stay.

  2. New

    Company by name

linkedin_get_company finds a company by its name with the new name input.

  3. New

    Several full profiles at once

linkedin_bulk_get_profiles returns full profiles with detail: "full", up to 10 in one call.

  4. New

    Change your sign-in email

The new Account page has Change email. LinkMCP sends a code to the new address to confirm it.

  5. Improved

    Ended LinkedIn sessions

When LinkedIn ends a session, the dashboard shows "Needs reconnect", the tool answer has a reconnect link, and you get one email.

  6. Improved

    Sales Navigator search errors

When LinkedIn refuses Sales Navigator access in linkedin_search_sales_navigator, the answer now says why: an expired Sales Navigator sign-in, no Sales Navigator plan, or an ended LinkedIn session.

  7. Improved

    Message tools

linkedin_send_message returns the chat_id of a new conversation, and the message tools say when a result is only part of the history.

  8. Improved

    Warm-up for connection requests

A new or quiet LinkedIn account starts at 15 connection requests a day. The limit goes up by 5 for each day with requests, up to the normal limit.

  9. Fixed

    Approval in the LinkedIn app

When LinkedIn asks you to approve a sign-in in its app, the connect page now goes on by itself after you approve.

  10. Fixed

Post links that do not match

When linkedin_get_post_comments or linkedin_get_post_reactions cannot match a post link, the answer now says how to pass the post, not an empty list.

  11. Fixed

    Sign-in loops

Codex and other OAuth clients now start a new sign-in when LinkMCP refuses their saved sign-in, instead of retrying it in a loop.

  12. New

    Mark as read

New tool linkedin_mark_conversation_read marks a LinkedIn conversation as read.

  13. Improved

    Short waits

LinkMCP now waits out short LinkedIn cooldowns of up to 8 seconds, instead of refusing with "Too many LinkedIn requests".

July 2026

  1. New

    LinkedIn and AI guides

New guides on LinkedIn and AI: setup, how to choose a tool, and account risk.

  2. Fixed

    Post IDs

linkedin_comment_on_post and linkedin_react_to_post accept every post ID form that the other tools return.

  3. Improved

    Refused connection requests

When LinkedIn refuses a connection request, the answer names the likely cause, such as a LinkedIn limit, and does not blame the profile ID.

  4. New

    Job search

New tool linkedin_search_jobs searches open LinkedIn jobs by keywords and location.

  5. Improved

    Reasons for automations

find_email returns a machine-readable reason, so an automation can tell "not found" from other outcomes.

  6. New

    Setup wizard

A new setup wizard: pick your AI app (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Gemini or an automation tool), follow its steps, and see when the first call works.

  7. Improved

    Input checks

Every tool now checks its inputs against its schema, and a wrong value gets a clear validation error.

June 2026

  1. New

    Mutual connections

New tool linkedin_get_shared_connections lists the connections that you share with a person, with their names.

  3. New

    Reactions on a comment

linkedin_get_post_reactions reads the reactions on one comment with the new commentId input.

  4. New

    Docs on your LinkedIn data

A new docs page covers your post analytics and profile views, and the tool reference lists every tool.
