Post to LinkedIn from Claude: Profile or Company Page

Short answer: connect Claude to LinkedIn with an MCP server, then let Claude publish the draft that you approve. Claude can write LinkedIn posts, but it cannot publish them by itself. With LinkMCP connected, Claude can publish a post on your own profile, or on a LinkedIn company page that you administer. It can also comment and react as that page.

What you need

• Claude with LinkMCP added. The steps are in How to Connect Claude to LinkedIn (Claude on the web and Claude Desktop) and How to Connect Claude Code to LinkedIn.
• Your LinkedIn account connected to LinkMCP. A post goes out through your own account, so this needs a paid plan.
• For a company page: an admin role on that page on LinkedIn. LinkedIn shows only the pages where you have an admin role.

Post on your own profile

1. Ask Claude for a draft, and ask it to wait:

   Draft a LinkedIn post for my profile about [topic]. Keep it under 150 words. Show me the draft and do not publish yet.

2. Edit the draft with Claude until you like it.
3. Say "Publish it." Claude calls linkedin_create_post, and the answer has the link to the new post.

A post can have line breaks, images, @mentions of people and companies, and a link preview. For an image, give Claude a public link to a JPEG, PNG or GIF file. Claude can also repost an existing post.

Post as a company page

1. Ask which pages you can post as:

   Which LinkedIn company pages can I post as?

   Claude calls linkedin_list_company_pages and shows the name and the page ID of each page.
2. Ask for a draft for the page:

   Draft a post for the [page name] page that announces [news]. Show me the draft and do not publish yet.

3. Say "Publish it as the [page name] page." Claude passes the page ID as as_page in linkedin_create_post. The post is public under the page name, not under your name.

Comments and reactions work the same way. Ask Claude to comment or react as the page, and it uses linkedin_comment_on_post or linkedin_react_to_post with as_page. If you are not an admin of the page, LinkMCP refuses before anything is posted.

Check before you publish

• Read the final text. A post is public as soon as it is published.
• Check the page name in the answer when you post as a page.
• Check that each @mention points to the right person or company.
• Tell Claude to show you the final text and to wait for your OK. Claude can make mistakes.

Limits and account risk

Posts, comments and reactions go out through your LinkedIn account, so they have daily limits and a minimum gap between actions. Actions as a page count toward the same daily limits as your own posts, comments and reactions. The numbers are on our security page.

Any automated use of LinkedIn can put an account at risk, and no tool can promise that LinkedIn will not restrict an account. The limits lower the risk. They do not remove it. Read our guide on LinkedIn automation risk.

Other ways to post from Claude

• Copy and paste. Claude writes, you post. It is free, and nothing acts on your account.
• Tools that use LinkedIn's official API, such as Zapier, can also publish posts, and they do not act through a browser session. If posting is all you need, compare them.
