Is There a LinkedIn Connector for Claude?

Short answer: not from LinkedIn. LinkedIn does not make a connector for Claude. Claude's connector directory has third-party connectors that work with LinkedIn, such as Taplio for your own posts and Windsor.ai for company page and ad reports. To let Claude work with your own LinkedIn account, add a LinkedIn MCP server, such as LinkMCP, as a custom connector. Then Claude can read profiles, search people and Sales Navigator, and read and send messages. It takes about two minutes, and you do not write code.

Every connector in Claude's directory shows the same "Anthropic verified" badge. Anthropic says that it "does not control which tools developers make available and cannot verify that they will work as intended".

Which one should you use?

  • You want Claude to write, schedule and analyze your posts, and you use Taplio: Taplio. It is in Claude's connector directory, and its connector comes with every Taplio plan.
  • You want to post, or to report on a company page, through LinkedIn's official API: Windsor.ai, Composio or Postiv.
  • You run outreach campaigns with sequences: a campaign tool, such as La Growth Machine.
  • You want Claude to research people and companies, search LinkedIn or Sales Navigator, and work in your inbox: a LinkedIn MCP server on your own account. LinkMCP, ConnectSafely and Linkup API are hosted. stickerdaniel/linkedin-mcp-server is free if you run it on your computer.
  • You need posts and research: add two connectors. Claude uses the tools that fit each request.

Why LinkedIn has no connector for Claude

Any app can use LinkedIn's open API to read your own name, headline, photo and email, and to post, comment and like for you. Reports on company pages and ads need LinkedIn's approval as a marketing partner. Sales Navigator data needs approval as a Sales Navigator partner. No open permission lets an app read other members' profiles, search members or read your messages (LinkedIn: Getting access to LinkedIn APIs).

That is why connectors on the official API, such as Windsor.ai, Composio and Postiv, can post and report, but cannot research people. Tools that research people or handle messages work through your signed-in LinkedIn account, or they use public profile data from a data provider. LinkedIn's User Agreement limits automated activity on an account, so the limits of the tool and your volume matter.

How to add LinkMCP to Claude

  1. Click Add to Claude. It opens Customize → Connectors on claude.ai, with the name and the server URL filled in.
  2. Check the name and the URL. Then click Add.
  3. Click Connect. A window opens.
  4. Sign in to LinkMCP in that window. If you do not have an account, create it there. Your 7-day free trial starts. You do not need a card.
  5. Ask Claude to do something that the trial includes. For example: "Look up this LinkedIn profile and summarize the person's career: [profile URL]".
  6. To let Claude use your own LinkedIn account (people search, messages, posting, Sales Navigator), choose a plan. Then connect LinkedIn once in the LinkMCP web app.

  • Every Claude plan can add custom connectors. The Free plan allows one.
  • On a Team or Enterprise plan, only an Owner can add a custom connector. Members then click Connect.

Trial and price

LinkMCP starts with a 7-day free trial, and you do not need a credit card. In the trial, profile and company lookups, posts and post comments, and email and phone lookups work. Searches, messages, posting and Sales Navigator act through your own LinkedIn account, and connecting it needs a paid plan. Starter costs $39 per month. New trials get their first month of Starter for $19.50.

What Claude can do with LinkMCP

LinkMCP gives Claude 35 LinkedIn tools. Claude picks the tools for each request.

  • Research a person or a company: "Read this profile. What does this person care about, and what did they post this month?"
  • Search people: "Find heads of growth at Series B fintech companies in London."
  • Search Sales Navigator with your own seat: "Run this Sales Navigator search and list the first 25 leads with their titles."
  • Work in your inbox: "List my unread LinkedIn messages and draft a reply to each one. Do not send them."
  • Grow your network: "Send a connection request to this person with a short note about their last post."
  • Read and publish posts: "Who commented on my last post? Which of them are VPs of Sales?" You can publish as yourself or as a company page that you administer: see Post to LinkedIn from Claude.
  • Find contact details: "Find the work email of this person."

What it does not do: it is not a campaign tool. It does not send sequences to thousands of people. Every action has daily limits.

Is it safe for my LinkedIn account?

  • Every action through your account has daily limits and pacing. The default Cautious tier allows 20 connection requests and 25 messages a day, and 125 actions in total.
  • A new or quiet account starts at 15 connection requests a day. Each active day adds 5, up to the limit of your tier.
  • There is a 1-second gap between any two actions, and a limit of 15 actions a minute.
  • If the rate limiter is not available, actions stop. They do not go through without a check.
  • Sessions run on our servers. Nothing runs on your computer, and there is no browser extension.

LinkMCP is not affiliated with LinkedIn, and it does not use an official LinkedIn partner API. As with any tool that acts on LinkedIn for you, a restriction cannot be ruled out completely; these limits keep the risk low. More detail: Will my LinkedIn get banned? and Security and limits.

FAQ

Is there an official LinkedIn connector for Claude?
No. LinkedIn does not make one. Claude's connector directory lists third-party tools that work with LinkedIn. Examples: Taplio (added in September 2026) for posts, scheduling and analytics, Windsor.ai for company page and ad reports, and La Growth Machine for outreach campaigns. Other LinkedIn tools connect as custom connectors.

What is the difference between Taplio and LinkMCP?
Taplio helps you write, schedule and analyze your own posts. LinkMCP lets Claude use your LinkedIn account for research, people search, Sales Navigator, messages and connection requests, and also for posts and comments. Many people need only one of them. You can add both.

Is LinkMCP in Claude's connector directory?
No. You add it as a custom connector with one link. It works in the same way: Claude signs in to LinkMCP in a browser window, and you can turn the connector off at any time in Customize → Connectors.

Can I connect Claude to LinkedIn for free?
Yes, with limits. stickerdaniel/linkedin-mcp-server is free and open source: you run it on your computer and keep its LinkedIn session signed in. Composio has a free plan for posting. LinkMCP has a 7-day free trial without a card. To connect your own LinkedIn account to LinkMCP, you need a paid plan.

Do I give Claude my LinkedIn password?
No. You connect LinkedIn once in the LinkMCP web app. Claude only calls LinkMCP's tools.

Can Claude read LinkedIn without a connector?
Not reliably. Claude's web search cannot sign in to LinkedIn, and most LinkedIn pages need a sign-in. You can paste the text of a profile into the chat. For live data, use a connector.

Do I need Sales Navigator?
No. LinkMCP works with a normal LinkedIn account. If you have a Sales Navigator seat, Claude can also run Sales Navigator searches with filters or a search URL.

Which Claude apps does it work in?
Claude on the web, Claude Desktop and Cowork through the custom connector, and Claude Code through one command. The same server also works in ChatGPT, Cursor, Gemini, Grok, n8n and Make.
