Rate Limits
How LinkMCP protects the integrity of your LinkedIn account.
Some MCP actions are rate-limited in order to protect the integrity of your LinkedIn account. These limits pace your actions and cap how much runs each day. They lower the risk to your account; they cannot remove it.
Reads of public data (profiles, posts, comments, reactions) are usually served by external data sources and don't touch your account at all - the limits below apply only when a request runs through your connected LinkedIn account.
Safety tiers
You choose your comfort level from the dashboard. The tier multiplies the base daily limits shown below - a lower tier means fewer actions per day and more protection for your account.
| Tier | Multiplier |
|---|---|
| Cautious | 25% |
| Moderate | 50% |
| Aggressive | 80% |
| Disabled | No limit |
Automatic pacing
Every rate-limited action has a short-term burst limit that prevents rapid-fire calls. There is also a 1-second global cooldown between any two actions and a cap of 15 total actions per minute across your account.

Full audit trail
Every LinkedIn action performed through LinkMCP is logged with a timestamp, action type, and actor. Rate limit hits are logged too, so you can see exactly when and why a request was rejected.
